Contacts
Import contacts from a spreadsheet
Bring in your customers from a CSV file, matching up the columns as you go.

Export a spreadsheet from your old system as a CSV file, then upload it here. You'll see exactly what will happen before anything is saved.
Import a file
- Open Contacts and choose Import. If you're not sure how to lay out the file, use Download a template.
- Choose your CSV file. It can be up to 10 MB and 20,000 rows. Bigger than that, split it into smaller files.
- Under Match your columns, tell BizOS what each column is. At least one has to be a name, email or phone number.
- Check the first rows to see they look right.
- Under Options, you can:
- Use Tag every imported contact, which makes this batch easy to find later.
- Set a Source, to record where they came from.
- Choose what happens to People who are already contacts: Skip them, or Fill in details they're missing and add tags. People are matched by email, then phone number, and details already on a contact are never changed.
- Choose the Import button at the bottom, which shows how many contacts are ready, and wait for the progress bar to finish.
If rows are skipped
The results list why each row was skipped. Use Download skipped rows to get a file with a reason column, fix those rows and import that file.
Importing custom details
To bring in something like a policy number, add a custom field first. It then appears in Match your columns.
