How credits work

Credits pay for things that cost money to send. Each text, email and AI reply uses a few. Your plan includes some every month, and you can buy more.

What uses credits

• Long texts count as several segments. The box you type in shows how many.
• It's the same whether you send it or BizOS does, so automations, campaigns, reminders, review requests and invoices all count.
• Messages coming in are free.
• If a send fails, the credits are handed back.

See what you have

Your balance is at the bottom of the sidebar, or under More on a phone. Click it to open Billing & usage, where Credits shows:

• Credits available, in total.
• Monthly allowance, which comes with your plan. It's used first, resets at the start of each month, and unused credits don't carry over.
• Purchased, which is what you've bought. It's used after your allowance and never expires.

Buy more

Workspace owners and admins can do this.

1. Open Billing & usage.
2. Under Buy credits, choose the Buy button on the pack you want.
3. Pay on the Stripe page.

Your credits appear as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a minute. Stripe saves your card so auto top-up can use it. Nothing else charges it.

Top up automatically

So you never run out on a busy week:

1. Buy a pack once, to save your card.
2. Under Auto top-up, tick Top up automatically.
3. Set When credits fall below, and pick a pack under Buy this pack.
4. Set Spend at most, each month. Auto top-up stops there until next month, so it has to be at least the price of the pack.
5. Choose Save credit settings.

If your bank wants to approve a payment, it can't go through on its own. You'll see a message on the page: buy a pack by hand, then turn auto top-up back on.

Warn me when credits fall below sends the workspace owner a notification instead, once each time.

If you run out

Owners and admins see a banner straight away. Until you buy more:

• Texts and emails aren't sent, and you'll see a message saying so. Send them again once you've topped up.
• A campaign pauses, and carries on by itself a few minutes after you buy more.
• An automation skips that text or email and notes why in its run history.
• The AI receptionist hands the conversation to a person.

Everything else keeps working. You can still see your contacts, take bookings and record payments.

See where they went

• Credit usage shows the last 30 days, split by texts, emails and AI.
• Credit history lists every credit added or used. Filter by Type, Business or Month, choose Show entries, and use Export as CSV to keep a copy.
