Custom domains
Put your site on your own domain
Move your website or funnel to your own web address, such as www.yourbusiness.co.uk.
2 min read
You'll need a domain you already own, and access to wherever you bought it, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap or Cloudflare. The changes take a few minutes to make, and can take longer to take effect.
Add the domain
- Open your site from Sites and go to the Settings tab.
- Under Domain, type your address and choose Add domain. Most sites use www, like www.yourbusiness.co.uk.
- Add the version without www too, so both work. One is the Main address, and the other sends visitors to it.
Add the DNS records
BizOS shows you the records to add. Sign in where you bought your domain, find its DNS settings, and add each one:
- A CNAME record, which points the domain at the app. Addresses with www work with every provider.
- A TXT record, which proves the domain is yours.
Addresses without www need an A record instead of a CNAME, unless your DNS provider offers CNAME flattening or an ALIAS record, as Cloudflare does.
Check it
Choose Check DNS. Once it shows Connected, your site is live on that address. Keep the DNS records in place.
If it's still waiting after an hour, check for typing mistakes and for any old record with the same name.
