Resell credits to your clients
Give each client an allowance, charge your own price per credit, and stop one client emptying your wallet.
2 min read
All your clients share one wallet: yours. Their texts, emails and AI replies come out of it, and you decide what each client gets and what you charge. Start with How credits work if you're new to them.
Set up a client
- Open Billing & usage and find Client credits.
- Choose Set up credits beside the client, or Edit credits if you've done it before.
- Set a Monthly allowance: the credits included in what they pay. Leave it empty for none.
- Set a Price per credit, or markup.
1.5is 1.5p a credit, and50%is your cost plus half. - Tick Stop at the allowance if their texts, emails and AI should stop once it's used, so one client can't empty your wallet. This needs an allowance.
- Choose Save client credits.
How it's charged
A price per credit replaces that client's text and email usage charge. They pay for what they use past the allowance, on their monthly invoice. With no allowance, every credit is charged.
The price only reaches them once you're billing them, so set up Client billing as well. Leave the price empty to keep the usage charge you already have.
What your client sees
Clients see their own usage and what's left of their allowance. They never see your wallet, what you paid, or your other clients.
If a client reaches a stop, their texts, emails and AI replies stop until next month, and you get a notification. To start them again sooner, raise the allowance under Client credits.
